1975 Di Giorgio Classico No. 28
This Brazilian master piece is a very rare find as there were not very many made and some of the woods used are no longer available, due to the rain forest limitations. The Di Giorgio features a flat spruce top, round soundhole, bound body, Brazilian Rosewood back/sides, hand inlayed peghead.
This is a 1975 Di Giorgio Classico No. 28, Made in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It is a one prior owner guitar. He bought this fabulous classic guitar in Sao Paulo, Brazil over 25 years ago. It is in extremely fine condition. It came in its original black case with a blue crushed velvet lining. The guitar itself measures 39 3/4" in length and 14 1/4" across the lower bout. This is a handcrafted, well done classical guitar. The top is spruce and the back and sides are made of Brazilian Rosewood. There is a mahogany and maple stringer strip down the back and the peghead has a beautiful inlaid floral design. The tuning buttons are of a peach/cream pearloid. The back of the head has "SOM D'OURO" (sound of gold) engraved by the artist. There is a rosette around the sound hole and wood binding around the body to strengthen them. There are a no cracks and the sound is loud and pure.
This is just one in a set of collage images I compiled a while back. They are for the Guitar/Music section I've been working on for my personal web site. This section will be used to display my old Guitar Collection
(and detailed information about each one) as well as a few other instruments I play.
