1982 Rickenbacker 4001 Fireglo
Serial Number: VD 1091
Ironically enough, this bass (sn# VD) came to me on Valentine's Day and just happens to have the traditional Rickenbacker Fireglo (a.k.a. Sunburst) finish that is very popular. The deep red to the slightly translucent golden hues has held up nicely and has a still has that "like new" luster.
This guitar has been well taken care of and is in very good condition for nearly 25 years old. There are a few very light scratches on the heal near the output jacks. There is no neck finish wear and the neck is still in great shape and true on the instrument. There is no finish checking. The chrome on the body is all excellent including the tuner knobs.
Like many this age, the chrome bridge pick-up cover has been removed and long forgotten. The original owner had the Rickenbacker factory change the stock bridge to a Badass™ Bridge when he ordered it. All else is standard Rickenbacker equipment.
