Series: Painted Pottery
Medium: Watercolor
Being self taught, a person has to start somewhere. This is where I started. After having minor surgery (a little operation in 1996 that would keep me off of my feet for a few weeks) my girlfriend at the time brought me a "Pro Grade" watercolor set as a *Get Well Soon* gift. She knew I liked art and thought the paints would be a good way keep me busy and off my feet while I healed. I had a little pottery collection at the time and have always enjoyed and admired the Native American art and general Southwestern folklore.
This is one of my very first attempts at watercolor and #2 in the series. The reason I am showing this series here is to show the growth/progress I have made with my art and painting over the last 10 years.

I gave the first one in the series to my friend and never got a good photo of the painting, so #1 is not shown here.
